I am more than excited to blog about my first hike here in mainland Japan.
It is just so pretty!
Breathtaking!
Kamikochi in Nagano, Japan can definitely hold a candle to any other National Parks.
It is one itself, called Chubusangaku National Park, Kamikochi.
It’s “main attraction” is the Kappabashi Bridge.
We walked through dense forest.
Lush, lush, lush, lush, lush, lush, lush …
… lush, lush, lush, lush jungle.
It’s so pretty.
The walk to the bridge is about 45 minutes to an hour. Another extra hour to hour and a half to Myojin Lake.
And it is so pretty.
Breathtaking!
Nature at its grandest and finest!
My feet, once again, felt like Jello by the time we leave. Even then, I felt like wanting to stay so badly.
Last Call…
Good thing I am scheduled to another hike this month. I cannot wait, more so now that my expectation is so high!
Ow, I forgot to mention. Kamikochi is so darn pretty!

It sure pumped me up to hike some more here. We’ll have rainy season here so I’m going to utilize sunny days as much as I can.

Thanks, sued51!
The joy of travel and the willingness to get away from the big cities.
Yup! Japan has both definitive urban and rural places. Either way, I hate being stuck in one place. 😉
Unending tranquility!
Seeing nature’s beauty makes me breathe easy.
Thank you so much for these gorgeous photos. You are right – so damn pretty : )
I am always right when it comes to pretty stuffs. Ahihihi 😀
So very pretty! This could be so many hikes in the Pacific Northwest here in the US. Hard to believe this is Japan…so not crowded:)
Ow, I shove people out of the way when I take pictures. Ahihihi 😀 It was decent that day when it comes to the number of visitors.
These images are absolutely gorgeous, Rommel. I want to be there!
I’ve never heard of this place in Japan before. That is a glorious mountain range.
Really gorgeous views, Rommel. Love that cute little duck and his reflection. Great shot! 🙂
It’s one of my personal favorites. I found myself staring at that shot, admiring it, for a good amount time. I am afraid I’m going to show that photo over and over and over again.

T’is the season for hiking. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait for my other one. Have a good one yourself.
You’ve done a great job with these photos Rommel, the Japanese tourist board would be pleased. I’d love to walk there, surrounded with all that beauty, as long as I didn’t have to climb any steep hills that is 🙂
No steep hill. Mostly flat. Visitors of all ages were hiking.
Beautiful:)
Also, here. This one is on the heart beats oftly blog 😉
